Coach Lake started his volleyball coaching career in Woodbridge, Virginia, 2007. He joined the staff of C.D. Hylton High School as the Assistant Head Varsity and Head Freshman Coach.
Since moving back to San Diego in 2008, Coach Lake continuously coaches/teaches a varying range of age groups and skill levels in both the indoor and beach volleyball. He has coached in the San Dieguito County, San Diego City School Systems. Troy has coached club volleyball at both the middle school and high school levels. His coaching style brings a balance of competitive spirit, while encouraging a balance of ownership, self-discipline
