Girls Traveling Programs
Epic offers two types of Traveling Teams. Elite Teams will attend one of the following end-of-the-year tournaments, Junior Nationals (Indianapolis, IN), AAU’s (Orlando, FL), Volleyball Festival (Phoenix, AZ) or Summer Soiree (Anaheim, CA). Epic also offers Regional Teams. These teams compete in the Southern California Volleyball Association Region with the season culminating in the Summer Soirée, but do not attend an out of state end-of-the-year tournament.

(Note: It is not necessary to sign up for tryouts in advance.)
Practices are, on average, twice a week. Practices last for 2 or 2 1/2 hours. Practice schedules vary from month to month.
During the season, the teams attend numerous one-day tournaments organized by the Southern California Volleyball Association (SCVA), which take place in Orange County and Los Angeles.
For these tournaments, the SCVA groups teams into the following age groups:
18-17 seniors and juniors
16 sophomores
15 freshmen
14 8th grade
13 7th grade
12 & Under 6th grade and below

The SCVA also puts on two major tournaments. The first, held in Las Vegas in February, is limited to invited teams only in the 16s-18s category. The second is a three-day Jr National Qualifier in Los Angeles. For these overnights events, all teams will use a club-selected hotel.

One of the big cost factors of a Traveling Team has always been an end of the year tournament. This year, Epic will have Regional Traveling Teams in each age group and these teams will not attend an out of state end of the year event. This results in a lower-cost alternative that still provides a full traveling season of twice-a-week practices and many tournaments.
