Dylann Ceriani

Dylann was a multi-sport athlete in high school, participating in softball, basketball, volleyball and track, earning the title of the Best Female High School Athlete in the state of Utah in 1984.
Dylann played volleyball for Brigham Young University from 1985-1988 while studying Electrical and Computer Engineering. She was a four-year starting middle blocker, four-time All-Conference player, three-time Academic All-American, and two-time NCAA Division I All-American. During her career, BYU was ranked in the top 10 nationally every year, including a #1 ranking her junior year. In 1987, she broke the NCAA record for career kills and was a member of the US National B team. In 1988, besides receiving First Team All-American status, she was also selected as a First Team Academic All-American and as a "Top Six Student-Athlete," one of six NCAA male and female athletes to receive this honor.
After college, Dylann moved to San Diego to join the US National team, where she played in several Olympic qualifying tournaments, including the World Cup in Spain in 1991. In 1992, she chose to play professionally in Switzerland for a season.
Upon her return, Dylann attended graduate school at UC Berkeley, where she studied Biomechanical Engineering and was a graduate assistant coach for the women's volleyball team for three years. Dylann was inducted into the BYU Athletic Hall of Fame in 1988, and in 2004 she was inducted into the CoSIDA Academic All-America Hall of Fame.
Dylann is married to Geoff Ceriani and has five children - two currently play at Epic. She works as a mechanical engineer at Breg, an orthopedic medical product manufacturer in Vista.
